Movement, Recover, and Balance

NIHI Fit is a wellness approach designed to support both physical strength and mental clarity in balance with nature.

Complimentary daily yoga sessions at the resort’s open-air pavilion encourage movement. Beyond the pavilion, a modern gym and dedicated recovery facilities provide space for strength training, conditioning, and contrast therapy.

Through visiting practitioners and curated retreats in partnership with Nirvana Life, NIHI Fit expands into immersive wellness programming throughout the year, bringing expert-led experiences focused on long-term wellbeing.

Overview

Begin the day with complimentary yoga at Menara, the resort’s open-air pavilion overlooking the ocean. Through guided movement by our in-house practitioner, each session helps restore balance, build strength, and create space for both physical and mental clarity.

Maintain your fitness routine in NIHI Rote’s modern indoor gym, designed for strength, conditioning, and functional training. Equipped with contemporary training equipment, the space allows guests to stay energised while overlooking the surrounding gardens.

Support your training through contrast therapy with heat and cold-water immersion. NIHI Rote’s sauna and ice bath help the body restore balance, improve circulation, and accelerate muscle recovery.

Through a partnership with Nirvana Life, NIHI Rote will host visiting wellness practitioners and curated retreats throughout the year. The first retreat is planned for later this year, bringing internationally recognised experts to the island for immersive programmes focused on resilience, nervous system balance, and overall wellbeing.

The foundations of our equine wellness programme are being gently set in motion as our new horses are introduced to the water at Bo’a Beach, just in front of NIHI Rote. Guided by Carol, the original horse whisperer behind NIHI Sumba’s Sandalwood Stables, these early moments are rooted in trust and calm.

In time, these horses will become part of NIHI Rote’s peaceful equine experiences. From watching them move through the ocean to sunset meditation in their presence, each encounter is a gentle invitation to slow down and connect. These are not riding experiences, but something deeper. Quiet moments shaped by the horse-human bond.
