How to Get to NIHI Rote
Your journey to NIHI Rote begins with a flight into Kupang (KOE) in West Timor, the gateway to Rote Island. You can connect to Kupang from Jakarta, Bali, and Sumba.
From Kupang, a brief 30 minute domestic flight brings you to Rote (RTI), where our team will be waiting to welcome you at D.C. Saudale Airport. Upon arrival in Rote, the NIHI Rote team will welcome you and assist with your luggage, before escorting you on a scenic and comfortable 90 minute transfer to the resort.
Your immersion into Rote begins the moment you leave the small island airstrip. The drive to NIHI Rote passes through traditional villages and palm tree groves that reveal the island’s raw and unfiltered beauty. Chilled beverages and light refreshments are provided en route, and on arrival to the resort, you’ll be given a warm NIHI welcome.
Our reservations team are always available to assist you with the latest route options and concierge support. As flight schedules may change seasonally, we recommend confirming all travel details with our reservations team ([email protected]) prior to departure to ensure the smoothest possible journey.
All foreign travelers to Indonesia need at least six months remaining on their passport as well as one full clean page for the visa on arrival stamp. This is strictly reinforced: Guests will not be allowed to board the plane in their departing country if this is not adhered to. Kindly contact our Travel Designers at [email protected] if you require any information to enter Indonesia.
Please note that airlines can change their flight schedules, and these changes are beyond our control.
Return Airport Transfers
Round-trip transfers from the airport to the resort are included in your nightly rate. The 90 min journey is a scenic experience through Rote’s stunning landscapes in one of our open-air safari vehicles (shared car).
Alternatively, if you prefer a more private option, you may book a private car transfer (maximum of 4 guests).

Nihigram
This is NIHI Rote.
White sand, crystal-clear water and an island that still feels beautifully untouched. An island still beautifully untouched, where days are made for adventure and there’s always somewhere new to discover.

An island unlike anywhere else.
Wild, untouched and abundantly beautiful, Rote is a place made for discovery. And we’ve only just scratched the surface. Come see for yourself.

If heaven is a place on earth, it might just be Telaga Nirwana.
Hidden within the untouched beauty of Rote Island, this natural saltwater lagoon feels almost too beautiful to be real.

Arrive at NIHI Rote and swim in the sparkling blues of the Indian Ocean. Spend your days surfing, cooling off in your private pool, or simply slowing down to the rhythm of island life.
Whether you’re chasing adventure or doing absolutely nothing at all, this is the kind of place that lets you do both. Welcome to NIHI Rote.

Wake up. Swim. Ocean. Repeat. The days just hit different at NIHI Rote.

There are places you visit…
And then there are places that keep calling you back.
Welcome to NIHI Rote.

The greatest beauty of Rote is its people. This is Uni, one of our NIHI Rote Hospitality Academy graduates, proudly wearing her traditional attire as she shares the island’s culture, heritage, and traditions with guests from around the world. Every woven thread tells a story, and every smile is a warm invitation to discover the heart of Rote.

Welcome to NIHI Rote. Where turquoise water steals the show, island culture runs deep, and every corner feels like a postcard. The hardest part? Deciding whether to dive in or simply soak it all up.

Sunset yoga. Salt air. The sound of the ocean. Sometimes the best therapy is simply slowing down long enough to take it all in.

Behind every melody is a story. The sasando, Rote’s iconic traditional instrument, is a celebration of the island’s culture, craftsmanship, and enduring traditions, one beautiful note at a time.
